As their name implies, Craftsmen are your traditional smithies, but in a more sophisticated matter. Adapting to the harsh realities of the shinobi world, Craftsmen have now become artisans of war, known for their skills in making weaponry as well as wielding it. Although their trade began with many of their best weapons and armors being sold to the ninja villages of the world in order to maintain sustenance, the Craftsmen soon discovered they could wield the very creations they made just as good, if not better, than those whom employed them. As such, throughout time and after many betrayals, the Craftsmen learned to fend for themselves.

Now a days they still offer their services, but for a price - and they're willing to fight to the death to defend the metallic masterpieces they can create.

Restrictions
    1. This profession is available to all, provided a 'C' rank (easy difficulty) quest is completed.

    2. As an added incentive for their trade, every time a craftsmen successfully repairs another player's item for them, they will be granted 100 EXP. This bonus is subject to moderator approval.

    3. Note that when selling generic, non-special custom equipment back to the shop, the price for it is automatically based on other items of its type. For example, a 'C' rank sword is generally worth 5,000 ryo, and (without the mastery) you could sell it for 50% of that. Unique, chakra-enhanced creations cannot be sold in normal stores.

    4. When crafting generic equipment (e.g. ones that are already included in the index), no extra steps need to be taken. However, any enhancements, enchantments, and unique items must be approved by moderators. For simple enhancements, this may mean getting an approval in your crafting thread; for complex changes and new items entirely, this will mean submitting them to Customs.

The Reliquary keeps legends; it is a menagerie and a collection and a house of shadows holding items so rare their very existence is little more than myth. The Relic weapons of the world are said to have the very material used in their construction safely guarded here, though exactly who or what guards them is a mystery that leaves answers only in the blood of those unsuccessful adventurers who braved its enormous halls, and failed. Finding The Reliquary is said to be nearly impossible, but a few old Masters still tell tales of being suddenly transported before its massive golden entrance and debating whether or not to go inside and claim its many rewards.

Its dangers and treasures are immense. But those Master Craftsman wishing to find only the rarest and most powerful and durable of materials in order to create weapons of "Relic" status must find their way here, and survive, in order to make it possible.

Shizai (Raw Material)
Rank: S.
Type: Craftsman Accessory
Object Length: Varies.
Object Width: Varies.
Special: The highest level crafting material available; the Reliquary seems almost as if it pulls these items into existence through sheer force of will, even though it is not a living thing. The item in question can be used to craft the highest ranked items and weapons, and in the hands of a Master Craftsman, can be utilized to give their creations a multitude of properties. From unbreakable armor to blades that can pierce through multiple opponents with ease, Shizai can be quested for repeatedly (and will need to be, as each quantity obtained through questing is only enough for a single item or creation). However, each time it will take a uniquely different form. It can be virtually anything, from a dragon's fang to the skull of a long dead god, and once found, the value of such items is said to be incalculable. Each piece of Shizai takes up one (1) accessory slot.

    Cost: 35,000 Ryo
Crafting Materials
Rank: D, C, B, A, S
Type: Craftsman Accessory
Special: Crafting material used for making, repairing, or enhancing something; each piece of material takes up one (1) accessory slot. Each time one of these methods is performed, material of equal rank must be used. Material is good for one creation, repair, or enhancement! Note that 'S' rank material cannot be used to make relic-level items, only normal 'S' rank items.

    Cost: 35,000 Ryo
Enchantment Stone
Rank: A, S
Type: Craftsman Accessory

Each stone can only hold up to one enchantment at a time, and upon infusing it into a crafted item or weapon, is permanently consumed. 'A' rank version can absorb basic elementally recomposed chakra (basic releases and genjutsu); the 'S' rank version can absorb more complex transformations (advanced releases). The source uses a total of High x2 chakra during the process.
Description: A small stone no larger than one's fist, it appears as non-unique in the eyes of the inexperienced. This stone is useless on its own, but in the hands of the craftsman, becomes the essential ingredient towards enchanting their craft. By applying the stone for a prolonged period of time to a direct source of chakra, the stone will absorb a portion of it. Its signature is inscribed within the stone on special seals, at which point it is prepared to be used in the process of enchantment.
Cost: 15,000 / 30,000 Ryo

Takumi no Jutsu (Crafting Technique)
Rank: S
Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)
Type: Passive / Takumi Hijutsu
Handseals: -
Chakra Consumption: -
As the beginning of all craftsmanship, the user is taught to understand the basics of crafting as well as the processes it requires. Through this training, they are able to then craft more specific creations, becoming legendary smithies in their own right. In effect, this technique opens up the entire craftsmen tree to the user.

Note: To craft a specific item type, the user will also need to know the technique related to that type (e.g. sword). The rank of the equipment created is determined by the rank of the material used. Likewise, the rank the equipment is going to be will determine how many posts it takes for the craftsman to create or repair it and how many enhancements it can hold. 'D' rank takes 2 posts and holds no upgrades, 'C' rank takes 4 posts and holds 1 upgrade, 'B' rank takes 6 posts and holds 2 upgrades, 'A' rank takes 8 posts and holds 3 upgrades, and 'S' rank takes 10 posts and holds 4 upgrades.

If this technique is used to add slots, the amount of slots added and the time it takes also depends upon the crafting material used. 'D' rank adds one slot, up to 'S' rank, which adds 5 slots. Seijihan Kouyou (Offensive Enhancement)
Rank: S
Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)
Type: Supplementary / Takumi Hijutsu
Handseals: 5
Chakra Consumption: High per enhancement
While craftsmen are fully capable of adding mystical properties (such as chakra) to their crafted equipment, it is also well-known that they can modify weapons in more physical ways. By focusing their chakra into an item, whether newly-made by them or brought in from another source, they can mold parts of the material used to craft it into new additions, called enhancements (or upgrades). Needless to say, these upgrades tend to increase the offensive capability of equipment when done correctly.

Note: Offensive boosts are not based on so-called "rank damage," since offensive weapons are capable of killing in their own right regardless of rank. Instead, these upgrades make changes to structure, size, or design of the equipment in question to increase their base lethality. For example, the craftsman could add a serrated edge to a blade, a spike to the end of a hammer, a container for holding poison, or what have you. Enhancements are up to your imagination, so long as they are within reasonable limits and given approval by a moderator.

The number of enhancements capable of being added to a weapon depends upon the weapon's base rank, as written in Takumi no Jutsu (Crafting Technique). Each enhancement takes a total of one (1) post to complete.
Hikogawa Kouyou (Defensive Enhancement)
Rank: S
Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)
Type: Supplementary / Takumi Hijutsu
Handseals: 5
Chakra Consumption: High per enhancement
While craftsmen are fully capable of adding mystical properties (such as chakra) to their crafted equipment, it is also well-known that they can modify equipment in more physical ways. By focusing their chakra into an item, whether newly-made by them or brought in from another source, they can mold parts of the material used to craft it into new additions, called enhancements (or upgrades). Needless to say, these upgrades are capable of increasing the defensive capability of equipment when done correctly.

Note: Defensive boosts are not based on so-called "rank defense," since even an 'A' rank shield could be broken by the right 'C' rank technique. Instead, these upgrades make changes to structure, size, or design of the equipment in question to increase their base durability. For example, the craftsman could increase the thickness of a piece of armor or add a plate to gloves to deflect throwing weapons.

Nousatsu Takumi Kisei (Enchanted Crafting Knowledge)
Rank: S
Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)
Type: Supplementary / Takumi Hijutsu
Handseals: -
Chakra Consumption: High
This technique encompasses the craftsman's unique ability to give equipment enchantments. By focusing their chakra on an Enchantment Stone that has already absorbed source energy, they are able to infuse it with the equipment in question, permanently granting it an enchantment in line with the source chakra.

Note: Only one enchantment can be placed upon a single equipment under normal circumstances; it takes one (1) full post to completely infuse a single stone. Enchantment does not translate to technique, but rather to ability - it allows the item to tap into the granted release. At that point, the craftsmen (or player the item is made for) should submit the item and its new specific abilities to Customs.
